It takes a lot of hardworking people (and dogs) to keep the Washington County K9 Trials free and fun for more than 5,000 spectators every year. Our dream team includes volunteers from the Sheriff's Office Foundation of Washington County, staff from the Washington County Sheriff's Office, and countless private businesses and community members.
The Sheriff’s Office Foundation supports public safety throughout Washington County and the Sheriff’s Office. Their mission is to provide funding for programs and services which are not part of the regular budget. The Sheriff’s Office Foundation offers an ideal route for community members to directly participate in public safety projects approved by the Sheriff's Office but not covered by county funds.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is one of the largest and most innovative law enforcement agencies in the State of Oregon. WCSO provides countywide police services -- such as the K9 team, jail, search and rescue, mental health response, marine patrol, and more -- to more than 610,000 residents. They are also the primary law enforcement responder to more than 250,000 rural and urban unincorporated residents.
The most meaningful way to support the K9 Trials is by becoming a sponsor. The Sheriff's Office Foundation offers a variety of sponsorship options ranging from $10 to $10,000. While we do not anticipate additional volunteers for the 2020 K9 Trials, we are always searching for motivated community members who want to get involved with other year-round projects and activities related to public safety in Washington County.
Your contributions support the many programs that are not covered by county funds.
